When speaking to my friends and former colleagues about their job search, I often talk about Networking and how crucial it is not only when the job search is happening but on a day-to-day basis.
Networking can make you part of a much smaller pool of recommended applicants and help you advance your career.
Your Network is more extensive than you think
Some examples of your Network could be:
Past or present co-workers, managers, or employees
Alumni/classmates
Acquaintances from your personal life
People from your church, yoga or gym class
Business associates
Friendships
